Name of the particle is ‘སྤྱི་སྒྲ། ‘the ‘Common particle’
Meaning:
ཅི་ What; it refers to essence
ཇི་ How; it refers to the manners or ways of what it is
སུ་ Who; it refers to a person only
གང་ Which; it refers to all (ཅི་ཇི་སུ་ནམ་) in generalizing or particularizing way
ནམ་ When; it refers to time

c) That which is compounded is impermanent.
2. ཇི་
a) ཁོང་ལ་དངུལ་ཇི་ཙམ་ཡོད། (Function one)
b) ཁོང་ལ་དངུལ་ཇི་ཙམ་ཡོད་ཀྱང་ཆོག་ཤེས་མེད། (Function two)
c) ཇི་ཙམ་སྲིད་པར་ཆགས་པ་དེ་ཙམ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་མྱོང་བར་འགྱུར། (Function three)
ཁོང་ he/she, ལ་ with, to, / དངུལ་ money, ཇི་ཙམ་ [around] how many, / ཡོད has/have, there is/are, །

a) How much money does he or she have?
b) However much money he/she has, he/she has no contentment.
c) How much one is attached to existence, that much he/she becomes sufferring.

a) དེ་སུ་ཡིན། (Function one)
b) དེ་སུ་ཡང་ཡིན་སྲིད། (Function two)
c) སུ་མཁས་པ་ཡིན་པ་དེ་བདེ་བར་གནས། (Function three)

a) Who is that?
b) That is possible to be anyone.
c) That person who is wise abides in happiness.
4. གང་
a) དེ་གང་ཡིན། (Function one)

c) གང་ཡོན་ཏན་ཆེ་དེ་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་བདག (Function three)

a) དེ་ནམ་ཡིན། (Function one)

c) ནམ་ཞིག་སྲིད་པ་དེ་ཚེ་འབྱུང་། (Function three)
དེ་ that, / ནམ་ when, / ཡིན is, །

ནམ་ཞིག་ when, - སྲིད་པ་ to be possible, < དེ་ཚེ་ that time, / འབྱུང་ happen, །

c) When it is possible, at that time it will happen.

WRITING WAYS: (སྦྱོར་ཚུལ།)
སྤྱི་སྒྲ་ (common particle) is another independent particle (ཕྲད་རང་དབང་ཅན།) that doesn't need to follow a suffix or ending letter of a word.
However, there are some particles following, mainly the particles ཅི་ and ཇི་
I. ཞིག་/སྟེ་/སླད་/འདྲ་/ཕྱིར་ mainly follow ཅི་
II. སྙེད་/སྲིད་/ལྟར་/བཞིན་/སྐད་ mainly follow ཇི་
I. ཞིག་/སྟེ་/སླད་/འདྲ་/ཕྱིར་
Mainly follow ཅི་
Meaning:
ཞིག་: a, an (indefinite article), or something from among many,
ཅི་ཞིག་: something what, what kind/type, what else,
སྟེ་: it is a particle of ‘ལྷག་བཅས་(ཏེ་དེ་སྟེ་), here, སྟེ་ follows because ཅི་ word has no suffix and སྟེ་ is for suffix-less or words without ending letter.
‘ལྷག་བཅས་’ particles appears when there is something left to say.
Thus, here, ཅི་སྟེ་ is stating that what is said is not finished yet, that the subject has more to say. Hence
ཅི་སྟེ་: however, anyhow, but, but if, because, they are, etc. (སྟེ་ can have ‘ལྷག་བཅས་’ related functions.) (the phrase has the feeling of ‘still’)
སླད་: for, for the sake/purpose of,
ཅི་སླད་ for what, in order to have what, for what sake
འདྲ་: like (outer similarities/likeness/features)
ཅི་འདྲ་ like what, how (related adjective)
ཕྱིར་: because,
ཅི་ཕྱིར་ because of what

1. ཅི་ཞིག་
a) (Function one)
འདི་ལ་སྙིང་པོ་ཅི་ཞིག་ཡོད།
འདི་ལ་ here, at/to/in this, / སྙིང་པོ་ heart essence, beneficial essence, sense, ཅི་ཞིག་ as what, what else, what kind, kind of what, / ཡོད there [is], has/have, །
What kind of benefit is there in this?
b) (Function two)
ཁྱོད་ལ་ཅི་ཞིག་ཡོད་ཀྱང་མཐར་མེད་པར་འགྱུར་བ་ཡིན།
ཁྱོད་ལ་ with you, / ཅི་ཞིག་ what [else], things as what, / ཡོད་ have, there, ཀྱང་ even, ever, > མཐར་ at/in the end, - མེད་ not there, པར་ that way, འགྱུར་ become, བ་ such, / ཡིན is, །
Whatever it is you have is going to become nonexistent in the end.
c) (Function three)
ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཅི་ཞིག་དམིགས་པ་དེ་ཉིད་གསལ་བར་བྱ།
ཁྱོད་ you, ཀྱིས་ by, - ཅི་ཞིག་ whatever, as what, - དམིགས་aime[d] པ་ which, that, དེ་ཉིད་ that itself, suchness, / གསལ་བར་བྱ to be visualised, should visualise, །
That which you have aimed for itself is to be actualised.
2. ཅི་སྟེ་
a) (Function one)
དེ་ཡིས་དགྲ་རྣམས་ལའང་ཕན་པར་མཛད་ན་གཉེན་རྣམས་ཅི་སྟེ་དོར།
དེ་ that, he/she, they ཡིས་ by, / དགྲ་ enemy, རྣམས་ (plural marker), ལ to, འང་ even, also, / ཕན་པར་མཛད་ [purely] benefit[ing], ན་ if, when, since, > གཉེན་ friend, རྣམས་ (plural marker), / ཅི་སྟེ་ why [still/then], / དོར abandoned, །
Why would he/she abandon the friends if they are purely benefiting even the enemies?
b) (Function two: because of the presence of the word ཞིང་)
བདག་གིས་གནོད་བྱེད་འདི་ལ་ཅི་སྟེ་བཀོན་ཞིང་ཁྲོ་བར་མི་རིགས་སོ། །
བདག་ i, me, གིས་ by, - གནོད་བྱེད་ harmer, འདི་ལ་ here, towards this, ཅི་སྟེ་ however, anyhow, > བཀོན་ have grudge, ཞིང་ while, and, > ཁྲོ་ get anger, བར་ such/that way, / མི་རིགས་ [is] not okay/suitable/appropriate, སོ།། (finishing particle),
However, it is not fair for me to have grudges and get angry towards this harmer.
c) (Function three: for conjunction functions to connect two sentences, similarly to relative clause)
ཅི་སྟེ་བདག་དེ་རྟག་ན་ནི།།
མཁའ་བཞིན་བྱེད་པ་མེད་པར་མངོན།།
ཅི་སྟེ་ suppose, however, > བདག་ self, དེ་ that, the, / རྟག་ [is] permanent, ན་ if, ནི (stressing), །། > མཁའ་ space, བཞིན་ as, / བྱེད་པ་མེད་པ action-less, ར་ as, / མངོན manifest[ed], །།
However, if the self is really permanent,
It will manifest as action-less as space.
3. ཅི་སླད་
a) (Function one)
སློབ་ཕྲུག་སློབ་གྲྭར་ཅི་སླད་འགྲོ།
སློབ་ཕྲུག་སློབ་གྲྭར་ཤེས་ཡོན་སླད་འགྲོ།
སློབ་ཕྲུག་ student, / སློབ་གྲྭ school, ར་ to, / ཅི་སླད་ for what, / འགྲོ go, །
སློབ་ཕྲུག་ / སློབ་གྲྭར་ / ཤེས་ཡོན་ education, སླད་ for, for the sake of, / འགྲོ།
For what do students go to school?
Students go to schools for education.

ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ལས་དེ་ཅི་སླད་བྱས་ཀྱང་བདག་ལ་རྩོད་པ་མེད།
ཁྱོད་ you, ཀྱིས་ by, / ལས་ work, དེ་ that, the, / ཅི་སླད་ for what, / བྱས་ did, ཀྱང་ even, ever, > བདག་ལ་ to me, / རྩོད་པ་ argument, / མེད have no, །
I have no arguments about whatever you did that work for.
4. ཅི་འདྲ་

དེ་ཡི་ངོ་གདོང་ཅི་འདྲ་ཡོད། ལྷ་འདྲ་ཡོད་དམ་བདུད་འདྲ་ཡོད།
དེ་ཡི་ his/her/its, ངོ་གདོང་ face, / ཅི་འདྲ་ like what, / ཡོད is, has/have, ། > ལྷ་འདྲ་ god-like, ཡོད་ is, has/have, དམ་ or, བདུད་འདྲ་ demon-like, / ཡོད is, has/have, །
What is his/her/its face like? Is it god-like or demon-like?

དེ་ཡི་ངོ་གདོང་ཅི་དང་འདྲ་ཡང་སེམས་པ་བཟང་པོ་ཡོད།
དེ་ཡི་ངོ་གདོང་ / ཅི་ what, དང་ with/as/to, / འདྲ་ like, similar, ཡང་ even, ever, > སེམས་པ་ བཟང་པོ་ good heart, / ཡོད has, །
Whatever his/her face is like, he/she has a good heart.
c) (Function three)
བླ་མ་དམ་པ་དེའི་མཛད་སྤྱོད་ཅི་འདྲ་བ་དེ་འདྲ་བའི་རྗེས་སུ་སློབ་པ་ཞིག་དགོས་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།
བླ་མ་དམ་པ་ sacred Lama/guru, དེའི་ his/her, མཛད་སྤྱོད་ pure conduct, - ཅི་འདྲ་ like what, བ་ that is, < དེ་འདྲ་བ like such,འི་རྗེས་སུ་ in the trace of, following, - སློབ་པ་ཞིག་ someone who trains, / དགོས་རྒྱུ་ basic need, what is needed, / ཡིན is, །
What the pure conduct of a sacred Lama is like, such is the way needed for one who trains to follow.
5. ཅི་ཕྱིར་
a) (Function one)
ཁྱོད་དེ་རུ་མི་འདུག་པར་འདི་རུ་ཅི་ཕྱིར་འོངས་།
ཁྱོད་ you, / དེ་རུ་ there, over there, - མི་ not, འདུག་ stay, པར་ that way, > འདི་རུ་ here, over here, - ཅི་ཕྱིར་ because of what, / འོངས་ came, །
Why did you come here [and] not staying there?
b) (Function two)
ལས་ངན་དེ་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཡིན་ན་ཡང་བདག་ནི་དེ་མི་བྱའོ།།
ལས་ action, work, ངན་ bad, དེ་ that, the, - ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ because of what, - ཡིན་ is, to be, ན་ for, ཡང་ even, ever, > བདག་ me, I, ནི་ (stressing particle), / དེ་ that [action], / མི་བྱ will not do, འོ།། (finishing particle),
I certainly would not take such a bad action for whatever reason.
c) (Function three)
ཁྱོད་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་འདི་རུ་འོངས་པ་དེའི་ཕྱིར་ལས་ན་བཟང་།
ཁྱོད་ you, / ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ because of what, for what reason, why - འདི་རུ་ here, - འོངས་པ་ have come, < དེའི་ཕྱིར་ for that reason, - ལས་ work[ed], ན་ if, / བཟང་ is/would be better, །
Why you have come here, it would be better if for that reason you work.
II. སྙེད་/སྲིད་/ལྟར་/བཞིན་/སྐད་
Mainly follow ཇི་
Meaning:
སྙེད་: dealing with how the amount/number of things are there,
ཇི་སྙེད་ how many/much,
སྲིད་: dealing with how the longevity of time/situation are lengthened/continued
ཇི་སྲིད་ as long as, as far as, how long, until,
ལྟར་: dealing with how an action is done/happened
ཇི་ལྟར་ how (adverb seeking),
བཞིན་: dealing with how one’s/thing’s inner nature is like
ཇི་བཞིན་ as how, just as, as,
སྐད་: dealing with how the language is said
ཇི་སྐད་ how (how in a language way)

However much wealth you have in the world, you can not take even one from such at the time of dying.

འཇིག་རྟེན་བདེ་བ་ཇི་སྙེད་པ།།
དེ་ཀུན་གཞན་བདེ་འདོད་ལས་བྱུང་།།
འཇིག་རྟེན་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཇི་སྙེད་པ།།
དེ་ཀུན་རང་བདེ་འདོད་ལས་བྱུང་།།
འཇིག་རྟེན་ world, བདེ་བ་ happiness, - ཇི་སྙེད་པ however much there, །།
དེ་ཀུན་ all such, / གཞན་ other[s], བདེ་ [to make] happy, འདོད་wanting, ལས་ from, / བྱུང་ occurred, came, །།
འཇིག་རྟེན་ world, སྡུག་བསྔལ་ suffering, - ཇི་སྙེད་པ however much there, །།
དེ་ཀུན་ / རང་བདེ་ to happy oneself, འདོད་ wanting, ལས་ from, / བྱུང་ happened, came, occurred, got, །།
However much happiness [there is] in the world,
All such occurred from wishing happiness for others.
However much sufferings [there are] in the world,
All such happened from wishing happiness for oneself.
2. ཇི་སྲིད་
as long as, as far as, how long, untill,

ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྲིད་པའི་བདེ་བ་དེ་འཇིག་རྟེན་ཇི་སྲིད་དུ་ཡིན་ནམ།
ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ your, སྲིད་པ existence, འི་ of, བདེ་བ་ happiness, དེ་ the, / འཇིག་རྟེན་ world, ཇི་སྲིད་དུ་ as long as, how long, / ཡིན་ནམ is?, །
Is your happiness of existence as long as the world?
b)
སྲིད་པའི་བདེ་བ་ནི་འཇིག་རྟེན་ཇི་སྲིད་དུ་ཡིན་པར་འདོད་ཀྱང་འཇིག་རྟེན་ཉིད་ཀོ་མི་རྟག་པ་ཡིན་པར་ཟད་དོ།།
སྲིད་པའི་བདེ་བ་ existential happiness, ནི་ (stressing), - འཇིག་རྟེན་ world, ཇི་སྲིད་དུ་ as long as, - ཡིན་ to be, པར་ such way, / འདོད་ accertain[ed], ཀྱང་ even, > འཇིག་རྟེན་ཉིད་ the world itself, ཀོ་ still, / མི་རྟག་པ་ impermanent, ཡིན་ to be, པར་ such way, than such, / ཟད་ exhausted, nothing more, only, just, དོ, །། (finishing particle),
Even the existential happiness is ascertained to be as long as the world, the world itself is still just impermanent.
c)
ཇི་སྲིད་ཚོགས་གཉིས་དམ་པ་དེ་ནི་མ་རྫོགས་པར།།
དེ་སྲིད་སྟོང་ཉིད་དམ་པ་དེ་ནི་རྟོགས་མི་བྱེད།།
ཇི་སྲིད་ until, ཚོགས་ accumulation, གཉིས་ two, དམ་པ་ genuine, དེ་ that, the, ནི་ (stressing), - མ་ not, རྫོགས་ complete[d], perfect[ed], པར such way, །། -
དེ་སྲིད་ till there, / སྟོང་ཉིད་ emptiness, དམ་པ་ genuine, དེ་ that, the, ནི་ (stressing), - རྟོགས་ realise, / མི་ not, བྱེད [able to] do, །།
As long as the two genuine accumulations are not perfected,
Until then, one will not be able to realise the genuine emptiness.
3. ཇི་ལྟར་
how (adverb seeking)
a)
སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་རྟོགས་པའི་ཁོང་ན་ལམ་གྱི་ཆོས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཇི་ལྟར་ཡོད།
སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་ emptiness, - རྟོགས་ realise[d], པ that, འི་ related to, ཁོང་ན་ within, / ལམ་ path, way, གྱི་ of, ཆོས་ phenomena, ཐམས་ཅད་ all, / ཇི་ལྟར་ how, / ཡོད there is, །
How is all the nature of the path within the realisation of emptiness?
b)
རང་གི་ཆོས་དང་གདམས་ངག་གི་བཀའ་དྲིན་ཐོབ་པའི་བླ་མ་དེ་ཇི་ལྟར་འདུག་ཀྱང་སངས་རྒྱས་དངོས་ཀྱི་འདུ་ཤེས་དང་མ་བྲལ་བ་བྱེད་དགོས།
རང་ one’s own, གི་ of, ཆོས་ Dharma, nature, དང་ and, གདམས་ངག་ [oral] instruction, གི་ of, བཀའ་དྲིན་ kindness, - ཐོབ་ received, gained, པ such, that, འི་ related, < བླ་མ་ Lama, Guru, དེ་ that, the, / ཇི་ལྟར་འདུག་ཀྱང་ however abides, whatever abiding way is, > སངས་རྒྱས་ Buddha, དངོས་ actual, ཀྱི་ of, འདུ་ཤེས་ perception, དང་ from, - མ་ not, བྲལ་ separated, away, བ་ such, / བྱེད་ doing, དགོས need[ed], །
However the Lama from whom the kindness of one’s nature and oral instructions are received abides, one needs to treat him/her without being separated from the perception of the actual Buddha.
4. ཇི་བཞིན་
as how, just as, as,
a)
ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་བློ་ལ་ངེས་པ་དེ་བླ་མས་གསུངས་པ་ཇི་བཞིན་ཡིན་ནམ།
ཁྱོད་ you, ཀྱིས་ by, - བློ་ mind, ལ་ in, - ངེས་ convince[d], པ་ have, དེ་ that, / བླ་མ Lama, Guru, ས་ by, - གསུངས་ said, པ་ that, have, ཇི་བཞིན་ as how, / ཡིན་ is, ནམ ?, །
Is it just as how it was said by Lama that you have been convinced in your mind?
b)
ལྷ་མོ་སྒྱུ་འཕྲུལ་ཇི་བཞིན་དུ།།
སྦྲུམ་མའང་གནོད་མེད་བཙའ་བར་ཤོག།
ལྷ་མོ་ Goddess, divine lady, སྒྱུ་འཕྲུལ་ Maya (Buddha’s mother), ཇི་བཞིན་དུ just as [how], །། /
སྦྲུམ་མ pregnant woman, འང་ also, / གནོད་མེད་ without harm, / བཙའ་ deliver, བར་ such way, ཤོག May!, །
Just as how the divine lady Maya [did],
May pregnant women also deliver without harm!
5. ཇི་སྐད་

a)
ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མིང་ལ་ཇི་སྐད་ཟེར།
ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ your, མིང་ name, ལ་ for, / ཇི་སྐད་ how, / ཟེར is called, །
How is your name called?
b)
ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་དགེ་ལགས་ཀྱིས་ཇི་སྐད་གསུངས་པ་དེ་སྐད་ལ་དོན་གཉེར་བྱ།
ཁྱོད་ you, ཀྱིས་ by, / དགེ་ལགས་ teacher, ཀྱིས་ by, ཇི་སྐད་ how much, གསུངས་ said, པ་ that is, དེ་སྐད་ that much, ལ་ in, for, / དོན་གཉེར་བྱ [should] go for, have interest in, pay attention to, །
However much the Teacher has said, that much you should pursue.

ཇི་སྐད་དུ། བསམ་པ་དགེ་དང་མི་དགེའི་བྲེ་བྲག་ལས།། དགེ་སྡིག་གཟུགས་བརྙན་ཆེ་ཆུང་རྗེས་མི་འགྲོ།
ཇི་སྐད་དུ། as how it is said, > བསམ་པ་ intention, - དགེ་ virtuous, དང་ and, མི་དགེ non-virtuous, འི་ related, བྱེ་བྲག་ point, particular, ལས rather than, །། < དགེ་སྡིག་ virtue or sin, / གཟུགས་བརྙན་ image, ཆེ་ཆུང་ size, རྗེས་ after, / མི་ not, འགྲོ go, །།
As how it is said: the point of virtues and non-virtues is rather the intention.
Virtues or sins will not go after the size of their forms.
